Planned Parenthood Programs: 

CDC Cooperative Grant with Orange County Public Schools; PPGO educators are approved presenters for 6th-12th grades for Human Sexuality Education. Topics include abstinence, STD's, HIV/AIDS, contraceptive methods, human reproductive system. School presentations are abstinence-based; emphasizing that abstinence is the healthiest choice for teens while also providing medically-accurate, age-appropriate information to provide teens with the tools they need to protect themselves from pregnancy and disease.

HEART: healthy, empowered and real teens; An empowerment program for teen girls between the ages of 12-17 who have been abused or neglected. Focuses on teen pregnancy and STD prevention and other sexual health topics as well as body image, self esteem and healthy relationships. Initially funded by Walt Disney World.


Abstinence Only Programs Taught: 

ThinkSmart Florida; Federally-funded CBAE program. Was once permitted to do school-based presentations in Orange County Public Schools but is no longer on the approved presenter list. This was due to the school district requiring that approved, medically accurate materials be used and ThinkSmart declining to cooperate.
